Sunla Sunrise Alarm Clock with Sound Machine for Heavy Sleepers — Wake Up Light, No App Required

Sale price  $65.00 Regular price $89.99

Wake up to light, not noise.

You already know the problem. A phone alarm goes off in a dark room, your body has no idea it is morning, and the day starts with adrenaline instead of light.

Sunrise alarm clocks fix that — in theory. In practice most of them are too dim to do anything, because light falls away sharply between the lamp and your face. Brands measure brightness a few centimetres from the bulb, which is nowhere near where your head actually is.

Sunla is built and tuned around the distance that matters: roughly eighteen inches, pillow to lamp. That is the whole design brief.

The rest is deliberately simple. There is no app, because an app means your phone is in bed with you at 6am — the exact thing you bought this to avoid. There is no account and no subscription, because charging a monthly fee for an alarm clock is absurd. A dial on top and four buttons set everything.

At night it runs in reverse: the light fades down while a sound machine plays, so it earns its spot on your nightstand twice a day instead of once.

What makes it different

  • Tuned for real bedside distance — designed around eighteen inches from your pillow, not a few centimetres from the lamp.
  • Gradual sunrise — starts from complete darkness and builds, so you wake before the alarm ever sounds.
  • Backup alarm for heavy sleepers — escalating volume, because light alone does not wake everyone.
  • 26 sleep sounds built in — white noise, rain, ocean and more. They are stored on the device, so no wifi and no app are needed to play them.
  • Winds down too — reverse sunset mode fades the light out at bedtime.
  • Goes fully dark — no glowing display keeping you awake.
  • No app. No account. No subscription. Everything works out of the box, forever.
  • Remembers your alarm through a power cut.
