Does it actually wake you up?
Is it bright enough to actually wake me?
That is the whole reason Sunla exists. Most sunrise clocks publish a brightness figure measured centimetres from the lamp, which is not where your head is. Sunla is built around 18 inches — real bedside distance.
Why do you not print a brightness number on the page?
Because the numbers this category prints are not comparable. They are taken at the lamp, and light falls off sharply between the lamp and your face. We would rather tell you exactly what we design around — 18 inches, the distance you will actually use it at — than publish a figure you cannot check against anyone else’s.
I am a really heavy sleeper. Will light alone wake me?
Possibly not, which is why there is a backup sound alarm with escalating volume. Light gets you most of the way; the sound finishes the job.
How long is the sunrise?
Adjustable. Set it short if you want a quicker ramp, or longer for a gentler one.
02 — Setup & daily use
One dial, four buttons. That is the interface.
Do I need an app?
No. No app, no account, no wifi setup. Everything is controlled by the dial on the front.
Is there a subscription?
No. Every sound and every feature is included permanently. We think charging a monthly fee for an alarm clock is absurd.
What happens if the power goes out?
Your alarm setting is preserved. You will not wake up to a blinking display and a missed alarm.
Does the display stay lit at night?
It dims to completely dark. You can also leave it on at low brightness if you prefer.
Can I use it just as a night light or sound machine?
Yes. The sound machine and the light both run independently of the alarm.

How fast does it ship?
Orders leave the warehouse in 1–2 business days, and US shipping is free. Full detail is on the Shipping Policy.
Where is my tracking number?
Tracking is emailed to you automatically as soon as your order ships. If it has not arrived, check your spam folder first, then write in through the contact form.
Do you ship outside the US?
Not yet. US only for now.
What is your return policy?
30 days, full refund, no restocking fee. The full terms are on the Return & Refund Policy, and you can start a return through the contact form.
